SICE will participate in the Horizon 2020 Secure Societies event, held on March 12 and 13 in Brussels

The H2020 European event has been organized by the Network of Secure Societies National Contact Points (SEREN4). During this event, the main requirements will be set out for participating in the European calls under the Societal Challenge 7: “Secure Societies – Protecting freedom and security of Europe and its citizens”, which will be published in mid-March 2020.

SICE’s R&D Department is evaluating this opportunity to draft a proposal on the topic H2020-SU-INFRA-2018-2019-2020. With this proposal, the company can innovate in the development of its SIDERA traffic and tunnel control software solutions, considering cybersecurity issues from design to operation, with a special focus on the deployment environments and cloud operations.

Accordingly, SICE is analyzing the possibility of establishing collaborations with other European partners from different institutions in order to offer a set of cyber-resistant mechanisms within SIDERA, as a way of improving the management of transport infrastructures and tunnels which include a set of measures such as solutions against cyber-threats and risks to help identify them while reducing their adverse effects, thus contributing to better quality of life and the protection of society.
